Judging from the view posted you will find the ballpark nearly perfect. That is a ballpark, now you can tweak then, maybe also play a bit with the gamma, then re-tweak. Move the left one right until the left side of the graph hits the edge, and move the right one left till the right edge of the graph hits the right side. Go to Image/Adjust/Level Equalization (or Contrast Equalization on the newer versions). In Corel Paint, mask each image one at a time. I will keep working at it though, thanks.
Photograv vs engravelab how to#
I just don't know how to adjust each part of the picture to make them engrave evenly. I really like this image and desperately want to engrave it.
ONly thing I'd do is remove the background from the leftmost shot." ONly thing I'd do is remove the background from the leftmost shot. However, I tend to agree with Harvey(are you sure you want to do that?), that montage looks pretty good to me. allows us to push only the darks, lights or midtones of the Selected areas. Masked areas are unaffected the Image>Adjust>Tone Curve. Re-mask and use the tone curve to adjust another area. Mask "OK" areas and use CorelPAINT's tone curve to "push" the area you want to change. That's what masking is all about! You definitely would not go to the trouble to break them apart. Process them through PhotoGrav one by one and them import them into Corel/Engravelab/AI or whatever program you use to send the image to the laser. Seperate them into 3 different images, edit them accordingly. I agree with Michel, open that image in PhotoShop or PhotoImpact XL or any program that has the ability to do that.
Depending upon the program, you can select the images individually and adjust the necessary shades. Others may suggest different, but if I were having the problem and couldn't resolve it with tweaking the contrast & curves with the three images together, I'd break them apart and do them individually. I don't know the photo software you are using but I've used Photoshop's shadow & highlight adjustments with good results. Full Version: Calling ALL PhotoGrav experts
